Circular economy, relevant problems and outcomes

The Circular Economy (CE) draws more attention over the recent years regarding Social Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by all United Nations (UN) Member States in 2015. Based on climate change and increasing carbon emissions, economies need to be transformed from a linear to a circular way. Therefore, both consumption and production processes should be held from the perspective of sustainability. In this study, we attempt to present a CE's conceptual roots, measurement problems and outcomes from different perspectives.
